# List All Fragrance Accord Families — Slugs & Names

> GET /v1/accords — Retrieve all accord families used in fragrance classification, with stable slugs and display names for filters and UI labels. Costs 1¢ per call.

Accords are named blend families — woody, floral, oriental, fresh, gourmand, and more — that characterize a fragrance's overall scent profile. Unlike individual notes, which describe specific ingredients, accords describe the combined character of a composition. Each fragrance on Noteboxd carries one or more accords with relative strength values, making them excellent facets for discovery filters and scent-preference matching. Use this endpoint to fetch the full list of accord slugs and names you can display in your UI.

<Tip>
  Accord `slug` and `name` values are stable identifiers — use them as display labels in faceted filters, fragrance profile UIs, or scent-preference onboarding flows. The `slug` is the machine-readable key; the `name` is the human-readable label ready for display.
</Tip>

## Rate Limiting

Every response includes the following headers to help you track your usage:

| Header | Description |
| - | - |
| `X-RateLimit-Limit` | Total requests allowed in the current window |
| `X-RateLimit-Remaining` | Requests remaining before you hit the limit |
| `X-RateLimit-Reset` | Unix timestamp when the window resets |
